So I’m pretty set on wanting to feed my baby formula from the start. I really don’t want to breastfeed at all...with that being said, what could I do to stop my milk from dropping once my baby is here ? I’m a first time mom so I am not sure what to do.

It’ll still come in but will likely ease up after a few days. I’m not going to lie, it hurts. I wore tight sports bras with nipple pads in them (you’ll leak). Avoid warm water on them in the shower. Express a little if it gets overwhelming. And I took sudafed which definitely sped up the process!

If you don’t have blood pressure issues you can take Sudafed to help speed up the drying up process

I wore two very tight sports bras all day/night and kept my back to the water in the shower to keep the hot water off of them. I never even noticed my milk come in/dry up

You can’t prevent it, it’s going to happen. But to get it to slow and eventually stop the key is to not really express any milk - don’t nurse or pump at all. The more you do, the more milk comes. So just do as others have suggested to dry yourself up

Your milk is gonna come in either way. But using cabbage leaves is supposed to help.

Your milk will most likely come in regardless but a lot of people recommend taking mucinex to dry yourself up, using peppermint oil, wearing a tight sports bra, cabbage leaves in your bra.
