When did your period go back to normal after birth?

I gave birth 11/16/20. I breast feed for about 6 months and my first period after birth started around 6/11 and it was heavy but not horrible. My cycle is normally 30-32 days ish. My period is now 3 days late. Is it normal to be out of wack? Or should I take a test? I don’t have any symptoms. TIA.

It’s normal to be out of whack but if you were having unprotected sex you should take a test. Breastfeeding is not a reliable form of birth control

It can take many cycles to become normal again.

Mine came back at 8m pp and was regular right away. I think it varies woman to woman, it is normal though to be irregular for a time.
