What name did you choose in the end?

For all those who made polls and asked for input into baby names, did you use what was suggested or take advice on board? I made a poll with my top 2 boy names but went for the one that came second. It helped me to figure out what I wanted just by making it.
I’m curious about others. Especially if the names you liked weren’t very popular with people of Glow

I wrote a post about my daughters name on here and had many ugly comments about her name ! At first it made me feel bad , but then I realized a lot of women on the app are judgmental and sad….
I still chose to keep her name the same , Selene Sunflower 🌻✨

I also feel people on this group are very judgmental and harsh. I had asked about my sons name Arius (Air-e-us) and got a ton of mean comments but ended up naming him it anyway and now I get a ton of compliments on it. I asked about middle names for my current pregnancy with the first name being Draxtyn and got some mean comments on the first name which wasn't even asking about and I'm still going to use it.

My son isn’t born yet but we actually ended up choosing Kensington which was the least chosen name on the poll. I read a lot of blogs where people were saying very judgmental things about this name but me and my partner both like it so we went for it! At the end of the day “Apple” isn’t a name but people still name their kids that. Name your baby whatever you love!

I don't think I chose the name that won the first time, but I agree it helped me figure out which name I was willing to fight for. We don't tell anyone what names we are thinking of because I just don't want to remember the negative opinions from my family when i inevitably choose the name my family hates.

I did the polls. No one likes one of the names I had choose. I ended up naming my son that, and come to find out it fits him very well.

I made a poll about which middle name went best with a first name and chose the loser name. Still very happy with our choice years later. Just making the poll helps you figure out what name you are rooting to be the winner. Also I think lots of pills get negative comments, but lots of those comments are about ways the kid could get made fun of that maybe the parents haven’t thought of. That’s all very useful too. If you know the possible fun that can get poked at them and are ok with it, great. It’s better than finding out later and have regrets.
