Positive c section stories?
Me and my hubby are trying for our first baby and because of a pelvic floor medical condition That would get a lot worse from vaginal birth and cause more damage that I already have I will need a c section to get the baby out.
I’ve had tokophobia for a very long time and it’s taken me so long (8 years) to agree to get pregnant and from a lot of self work I’m not as terrified to be pregnant anymore and I’m able to push through enough to go though with it as I want a child so much that I can push myself to go through being pregnant but I’m not guna lie the birth still scares me.
I’ve been told I’m fortunate as I don’t have to push a baby out like it’s the “easier” way and been made to feel silly but I’m scared of medical things and the idea of being cut open freaks me from bad experiences out though I know I’m not going to feel the pain.
Can those of you who had c sections tell me your positive stories? I’m from the uk so I’m not sure if there a bit different in other places but I’m happy to hear about all of yours! Also one question did any of you get to do skin to skin while being stitched up? I think it would be nice to have that distraction and for breastfeeding/bonding eg but I don’t know how common it is to be allowed to do that.
