Question

I figured this was the best place to ask this… is the mamaRoo worth the price tag?? It seems like it could be hit or miss and I want to make sure it really is worth what it costs before I buy!! Open to any/all alternatives people have found better (if any)!

I received it as a baby shower gift. My baby is 8 weeks old and occasionally she likes to sit in it but not for very long. She has slept in it once and I feel like I got lucky that time. I really thought it was going to be this magic thing that would stop my baby from crying but if I put her in there when she’s crying it just gets worse lol. Not sure I would have purchased it myself. You never know though, all babies are different. Mine prefers a human walking her around/bouncing her.

this is the one i got gifted. i put it on my registry because i heard its either a hit or a miss and if someone else got it for me then i wouldn’t be all upset if it was a miss for my baby. however my newborn and i absolutely love it. he will just sit in it and stare at the little balls. i personally think its worth it but id suggest if you know anyone who has it to ask if you could borrow it for a few days after your baby is born to see if its worth it for you. :)

Personally I don’t think the 4moms Mamaroo is worth it. I got it off my registry and it works OK but it’s totally stationary. It sits in one corner and doesn’t move from that spot. After a while I realized I needed something smaller, lightweight and portable! We ultimately bought the baby bjorn bouncer which is also obscenely priced for what it is, but honestly he LOVES it. It folds flat, weighs 5 pounds so I can easily move it from room to room, and we even toss it in the trunk for when we go visit people. I put it in the bathroom while I shower/ get ready, etc….I think for this reason it’s Wayyyyy more practical than a bouncer that just sits in one spot….

We got ours second hand from a family who’s baby didn’t like it. Our baby girl loves it! I don’t know where you are but there’s at least one a week being sold in the Facebook mommy groups in our area for way less than new. I highly recommend going that route since as you said it seems hit or miss on babies love them or hate them.

We got one secondhand from fb marketplace. My baby liked it but not enough to pay full price for it. It wasn't a life saver for us so I'm glad I didn't buy it full price.

We got this as a shower present and we love it. My daughter is extremely fussy at night, and if we swaddle and give her her binky, most times she will settle right down (of course we’re sitting with her the whole time) and it’s been a lifesaver. Totally worth it.

Neither of my girls liked the momaroo at all. We borrowed from friends to try it out before buying and they never liked it. But we did get the 4moms high chair and I looooove it! It’s more expensive than others but it’s sooo easy to clean and I love that it’s magnetic. So I highly suggest it

Out first baby was extremely colicky and this was the only thing she's spend 5 minutes in so it was definitely worth it to be able to do something without holding baby. 
Our other two didn't like it though and preferred the babybjorn bouncer.

i personally loved it for my first born it comes with different sounds different rocking or bouncing positions which ever baby likes you can even plug you phone up and play your own sounds or songs if you don’t like the ones that come with it it’s worth it and i’ll def buy it again for this baby 🤷🏽‍♀️
