Migraine medication during pregnancy
Anybody else out there suffer from migraines? I stopped all my preventive medications when I started trying but I took triptans until I found out I was pregnant around five weeks. OBGYN tells me all I can take is Tylenol, which does nothing for migraines. My neurologist however said that triptans are safe. I lean towards not taking triptans because I’m over35 and already lost my first baby (unrelated to triptans use but still). I hate having to suffer through migraines again but I’m afraid to keep taking triptans.
Dr said fioracet was ok in 2nd trimester but that didn’t help. They also said I could take norco, which also doesn’t help.
Any thoughts on this?
