Menstrual cups??

Question

My periods are very heavy, and I often have to change my tampon every two hours. Also, my cycle is 21 days so periods are a very annoying matter. I want to use the menstrual cup because I would be able to go all day at school without worrying about changing it. What's your verdict on it? (also, I'm 16 & not a virgin if that matters?) xx

Do it! I swear it helped a ton with cramps too. I think because tampons absorb the blood, while cups collect, it makes it less painful. Also you don't have to worry about pulling out a dry tampon. There's a bit of a learning curve, but I managed to get the hang of it within my first cycle. I swear by mine 👌🏻

I was just like you. Had to change my tampon every two hours otherwise they would leak. Very annoying when you're at work/school. I got the Diva Cup and yes, it is a learning curve but once you get the hang of it you will love it. I can work all day, get home and make dinner etc and then change it. You will be surprised how little blood it actually is.  On a tampon it seems a lot but once you see it in a cup it's not that much.  You should try a menstrual cup!

They are freaking amazing. You can wear it everyday for your whole period - you just have to dump it out once a day. You never have to spend money on pads ever again, they are silicone so you just wash it in your sink w dish soap and rinse really well when your done just like silicone sex toys. I used to get chronic urinary tract infections because of al the bleach and chemicals they put in tampons and pads, I never get them anymore since I switched over. They totally changed how my period affects my life.  The only sortof (barely) tricky thing is getting used to putting it in - but it just folds in half and then if you relax it just pops open and you wiggle it around until you can turn it a whole turn without it moving. Sounds waaaaaay more complicated than it is.

I tried the diva cup once and decided it wasn't for me. I could never take it out right so it was a messy process. I would wear a panty liner just incase it leaks.
