Thank you ladies! I’m in the middle of my second IUI and I’m thinking if this fails to start IVF.

None, we went straight to ivf.

None. We skipped iui, we were not candidates. We went right to ivf icsi and were successful first round fresh transfer. My son is 18 months.

None, I was told that wasn’t the best option for me and move straight to IVF after getting my head around it for a few months. My sister-in-law did six

6. Third ended in a chemical so it was the glimmer of hope that maybe it could work - we only planned on doing 3. We decided to do 3 more because I was planning on changing insurance plans and had some time anyways but they failed.

I did one IUI, our specialist told us that we were great candidates, and didn’t investigate my luteal phase issues (8-10 days). She was quite dismissive because I’m only in my 20s and had ‘heaps of time’. Changed specialists and new specialist said less that 5% chance of IUI working and went straight to IVF. Now 5w4d with Bub from first ivf cycle. Definitely recommend shopping around before picking a specialist if the fit doesn’t feel right.

1 normal IUI, 1 back-to-back IUI (2 inseminations), due to how low the first sperm count was (~1mil post-wash). We prepped for IVF alongside IUI #2, so we could go right into it, and then conceived with our first fresh transfer.

I did 4 IUIs and wish I had moved onto IVF much sooner.

We did 6 rounds were successful in conceiving 4 times but all ended in early losses. So for us it helped solve one part of a bigger problem. We wished we had stopped much sooner and moved to IVF. We were successful our first round and now have a 10 month old daughter and are preparing for our second transfer.
