I am bleeding so much after getting my iud I’m wondering if it’s a period?

I’m almost 7 weeks PP and got an IUD about a week ago. I had some spotting and then it kind of slowed down, right after that it turned into full blown period like bleeding that has been going on for days. Is this normal?

This is common after IUD placement they'll be crazy for a while then die of and might even stop

Pp periods are massively heavy to begin with. I have the copper IUD and I’m 7 months pp and hand heavy periods. I did not have heavy periods before babies

What iud did you get?
I have mirena and the first time I got it, I had spotting for about a month after, but no bleeding.
I’ve heard with Paraguard that heavy bleeding is normal.
