Lousy mum?!😭💔

Question

So my little 1 year old man favours his dad over me. He works away so I have no problem with him loving his dad just makes me feel like a lousy mum when I try and cuddle him or play and he just smaks me or has a meltdown towards me. Surely this is a phase and I'm not the only one who goes through this. And just meltdowns all day! It's driving me crazy and I often find myself asking if I'm cut out for this?I have started yelling at him out of frustration, which I know is wrong just can't handle in the heat of the moment! 💔💔💔

You know how sometimes we admits need change of scenery and a break. Your daughter is the same, she loves you but just needs a little change once in a while.
My son is 8.5 months and glued to his dad when he's in the room, he completely forgets me lol. It doesn't bother me though, I honestly use that time to run errands or relax myself. After he is entertained by dad for a while he comes back for mama cuddles.

My daughter is nearly 10 months, if there’s someone else she can be with (that she’s familiar and comfortable with) she will choose them over me 90% of the time and will usually cry when she’s handed back to me. It’s not the nicest feeling but I think it’s because they’re so used to being with us all the time, they need breaks away from us just like we need breaks from them xx

My 15m old has started this as well, it's so hard some days, lately she hasn't even been wanting me to put her to bed which breaks my heart. I love to see their bond but sometimes it's hard to not take it personally. Hugs!
