I applied for a new passport on 6/28 and was told by the post office it would be quick with expedited 3-4 weeks in total with everything, they kept reassuring me of this over and over. a few days later I check the website and it’s now changed to 6 weeks processing along with 6 weeks for mailing, total of 12 weeks.

I am planning a trip for August 15th but now I am terrified i won’t receive my passport in time.

I have contacted my local congressman and filled out the privacy form but still haven’t heard back.

called the Passport service center and they essentially said there isn’t much I can do except pay another $17.50 to have 1-2 day shipping after it’s been processed.

I can’t make an appointment at a Passport agency as the nearest location is 8 hours from me in another state.

anyone having issues with this as well? were you able to get your passport on time? did you have to cancel your flight?

I’m not sure what more I can do at this point and it’s incredibly frustrating to say the least!!
