My first home was an apartment, I chose it because it was quick and affordable . I needed to get away from my parent's home as it was extremely unhealthy for me. 
My next home will be a house !! Claiming it.

The first place I rented was a house. We rented for 10 years before we bought our own house. 
We never considered an apartment because it was always a hard no unless we had no other choice. I didn't want neighbors as close as right on the other side of a wall. Also wanted a fenced in yard where my kids could run free and wanted to be able to have a dog. I know some people have kids and dogs in apartments but that isn't what I wanted.

I picked an apartment because it’s all that I can afford. I live in a very expensive area where studio apartments are over $1000 a month
