Anyone knows about herpes???

I just got a call from the hospital telling me that I’ve passed herpes to my baby I didn’t even know that I had it until now. The doctor say I am immune to it and that I have passed my immunity to my baby what time should I be concerned? Is there any cure? I’m so worried right now please help.

What type of herpes? I never heard of someone being immune to herpes tbh. But it’s not curable but controllable with treatment to prevent outbreaks so sorry this is happening to you Nd baby

The doctor possibly misspoke . You more than likely have antibodies which you can pass to baby but that does not make you immune, just a symptomatic. And what do you mean passed it to baby ? Is baby currently ill ?

Only way to pass it is if you had an outbreak during delivery? Was that the case?

Find out if its type 1 or 2 because most of the world's population has type 1 which isn't an STD type one is the kid if you have ever gotten a kanker soar in your mouth thats type one type two is the sexually transmitted disease and that one is the one you could get medicine for if you had an outbreak of soars either in our mouth or in the genitalia area.

I have herpes, thankfully knew so didn’t pass on to baby. I haven’t had an outbreak in years. It’s very manageable. I’m pregnant with my second child. Our life is very normal.

They should have tested you for all std, I think if you have an outbreak during labor baby could have gotten it not sure
