Here’s my birth story:

I am 17 turning 18 in August, my due date was July 3rd, 2021 and I had my son on June 20, 2021 @10:00pm.

So on June 18 I went to my doctors appointment and everything was fine, a couple hours after I got home from my appointment my doctor called me and told me that I needed to go to the hospital right away. I went to the hospital and the nurse told me that I needed to be induced because my baby’s growth stopped (I was very stressed during the pregnancy and didn’t find out I was pregnant until I was about 5 months along). They induced me Friday evening and the first thing they tried didn’t work so they ended up putting a gel in and it ended up working just enough for them to break my water. The nurse ended up breaking my water the evening of June 20. At first with the contractions I was okay with the pain but then they got worse than my normal period cramps so I got the epidural and I was pushing for just under an hour. He had the cord wrapped around his neck 2 times very tightly and the nurse took them off. I ended up staying till June 22.

During the inducement I was stressed and wasn’t allowed to go outside for fresh air unless it was one of the nicer daytime staff working. I really liked the one nurse there but unfortunately I wasn’t able to get her name so I could properly thank her later on. The day after I gave birth my ex (father of the baby) tried to ask me out again and when I said no (for safety reasons because he was abusive towards me) he went off saying I cheated on him, he’s going to revoke his rights as a father, not pay child support, etc. Now the father of the baby can only text me to see how my son is doing and he’s not allowed visits unless it’s at the office of CAS/ family connections.

My son is now just over a month and I love him so much.
