Ovulating soon?

Question

I took the last test just now (CD 19) and it's the darkest one I've gotten since I started testing on CD 9. Does it look like I'm getting close to ovulation. I am so frustrated with all of these negative OPKs.

I'd say it's still very light but for some people it goes from negative to very positive without the build up.

*UPDATE* My tests are finally getting darker! Hopefully that means I'll have a positive by the end of today.

Stephanie, this is what it looked like today at 12 noon. I'm sure when I get home at 5 and test it should be completely positive. Im on CD 20 and my cycles are usually anywhere between 28 and 35 days, so in the normal range. It's looking as though this cycle is going to be 34 days this time.

Ok so I think I started testing too early. My cycle starts the same day every month so I make that a 30 day cycle? The kit suggests I start testing 14 days from the first day which would be tomorrow but I've been testing for 4 days now with negative results. Did I start too early? 
Today's test looks a tiny bit darker but I fear I have test eyes! Do these things gradually increase or is it no line straight to a line?

Well done :) do you think they gradually get darker over time then? I wondered if they just suddenly changed or if this was the case as mine appears to be getting darker too!

It depends. It can be stay that way for days or be positive tonight. They can change from negative to positive in just a few hours. Don't rely just on OPKs. Track BBT, CM, & cervix also

I sure hope so! The longer I leave it the darker it gets but I think it's been too long now

Try testing midday. That's when I was always able to pick up my positive, but they'd be negative with fmu
