Should I be nervous

I got a text this morning from my sons boyfriend Ethan asking if they could come over for dinner tonight. I was a bit confused because Saturday's are when they come over for dinner but I said of course. He also said tonight he wanted to speak to me about something. When I asked what it was he said its nothing bad, he just really wants to speaks to me about something important. Does anyone else hate when people say they want to talk and not what it's about lol?

Edit: They're both 19 and have been unofficial together for 3 years and officially 2 years. They've been besties since 8th grade.
