We have come to visit my family for 2 weeks. As it’s a 3 hour drive away from home, we’ve not been here often - and for my 2yr 4mth old who has spent half a life in locks - she’s very unfamiliar with the surroundings. She’s seems to be having the time of her life with family members and us (parents) during the day, however the last 20 min in the bedroom before sleep, she gets a little unsettled and repeatedly asks to go home before sleep. I am with her 24/7 regardless and we co sleep…. However I’m wondering if staying for so long is too much for her… we have the opportunity to go home sooner, however I’d prefer to stay for the entire two weeks as the support, company and break that I’m getting right now means the world to me (I also have a 5 month old). It’s like a holiday. I just feel guilty and in sympathy for my toddler in the evening when it hits her. I was just wondering what other parents would do in this situation? Should we go home?
