My doctor told me that all babies have a high heart rate to start- usually 170-180 when it can first be detected, and it slowly decreases as they grow. So a high heart rate doesn't mean anything but a healthy little baby <3

The heartbeat doesn't become more gender specific until around 20 weeks according to my sonographer, I'm the perfect example my baby was 172 up until last week it went down to 165 but that's still in the girl range and I'm having a boy lol

My daughters heart beat was never higher than 145 when i was pregnant with her, this pregnancy its in the 155s and up. I cant say its going to be a girl based on heartbeat

My first ultrasound at 6w5d was 121, my second ultrasound at 12w1d was 147 and today my doctor used the Doppler to hear the heartbeat at 13w2d and it was 161. It changes so much, I can't imagine how reliable it is as a gender predictor.
