What do I do? I despise my step son. I know that sounds awful, and honestly, i feel bad for saying and feeling this way, but I can't help it. He is so selfish and makes everyone around him miserable because he seems to think the world revolves around him.

My husband always points out that I get distant to him (my husband) when my step son is acting out. I can't tell I'm even doing this. But i know that my stepsons behavior puts a wall between my husband and I. It damages our relationship. Idk what else to do. Nothing gets through to my stepson. Nothing and no one.

My stepson is 16. My husband and I have been together since he was 12.
