I was so dizzy and felt like I was going to pass out. I went to the emergency room they made me go first since technically yesterday I was 19 weeks 6 days .After 20 weeks you can go to labor and delivery at my hospital. after waiting in the extremely crowded er for three hours. I got transferred to guess where labor and delivery.I was told it’s just normal to feel that way in this heat in California .I was dehydrated and ketones in my urine which didn’t help. The first doctor I saw in Labor and delivery was just going to send me home .I asked if I could get a second opinion. the next doctor said it would be best if I got an IV so I didn’t have to drink a liter of water at home to catch up on fluids or end up coming back more dehydrated .she also said it would help with the ketones. Ladies do not be afraid to ask for a second opinion because I almost didn’t and I can almost guarantee you I would have been right back in there dehydrated still.
