Hey guys i am having a hard time with my 7 year old. He will sneak out of his room at night and early morning and will steal food, and electronics or other items from people in the house. While we went out for few hours he snuck in our room destroyed it and got into my husbands video games stuff and had them all over room and hidden in his room.... we ground him, take away all electronics or tv, make him spend day in room, do chores around house, not get to go places and he just looks at us and doesnt care. Basically tells us ok or whatever, i even bought kid handcuffs and told him if he wants to steal and lie (he got in trouble at school too for stealing) that he can go to jail like steelers do, so loaded him in car and drove him to police station to hopefully kind of scare him and show him what steeling can lead to. He cried and it scared him for a whole two days... now he back to lieing and steeling...What do you do with a child that shows no remorse, doesnt seem to care about being in trouble and grounding doesnt bother him. He has seen a psychologist and said he has extreme a.d.h.d and doesnt have impulse control but I just dont know what to do. Was hoping any of you have advice and please advice only no put downs.... I trully am lost :(
