I typically cramp the day of ovulation. Since I don’t know the exact hour I ovulate, I can’t say whether it’s before or after but I know that it’s the day I ovulate based on my BBT. The typical order of events for me is a peak OPK, within the next 24 hours I start to get one sided cramping, then the following morning after cramping by temp rises (followed by three days of continual rising temps). It is different for all women though since it’s unknown what exactly causes ovulation cramps. The guess is that’s it’s either pain from the follicle growth, pain follicle releasing the egg, or the Fallopian tubes contracting after the egg is released. That’s not helpful since that means the pain can be before, during or after… not sure. With continued tracking, you’ll probably be able to determine which camp you’re in! Best of luck ✨

I don’t get any cramping with ovulation. (I typically don’t cramp before my period either though.)

Ovulation pain can occur before, during and after actual ovulation. I’m one of those who experience it before, during and after.

Before and after!  I have PCOS and I get cramps throughout the month.
