Do you enjoy being around other people? Not including the people in your household…

Is it a pleasurable experience when you’re around other people? Or is it just whatever? When I’m around other people, all I could think about is how I’d rather be alone. Sometimes I have good conversations with people, but that’s probably a few times a month. I noticed the people in my college program enjoy each other’s company and always seem to have something to talk about. We’ve all been around each other for 2 months and they go to lunch together and act as if they’ve known each other longer than that. I’m starting to think I have a problem.

I do well in small groups (like 3 people) anything more than that gives me anxiety and I completely shut down. I become that weird person in the corner who just smiles awkwardly. I’m not very social and I prefer to be alone. I probably have social anxiety🤷🏽‍♀️

I used to love being around others and had serious FOMO but since I got married and had kids, I’d rather be home with them or on my own. I miss alone time

Nope. I have pretty extreme social anxiety. It has gotten better in recent years, as I used to be afraid to even post online. But I still don't like being around people or in social settings. My husband doesn't either. He doesn't have social anxiety. He's just a homebody.

I feel the same bt i always assumed it wz me with bad communication skills. Everything ppl talk about doesn’t interest me. Idc about gossip and who’s cheating on who stuff or what i feel is irrelevant to bettering my life. I want to talk about life, advancing, bettering my soul, overcoming family traumas and doing shadow work. I used to go out and immediately go home cz i want to socialize bt nt how everyone else does it.
