None of mine are under 1 year this year. But my 13 m/o got his first flu shot at 6 months last year. When I was six months pregnant with him my husband, my eldest (3 at the time), and my middle (17 months at the time) all got flu strain B before they got had the chance to get flu shots. It was super rough on the 17 month old. He almost ended up in the ER. Ran a 103° fever, lost his appetite for the only time in his life, and wouldn't drink anything. It was really hard watching him feel so badly. None of mine have ever had negative reaction to the flu vaccine or any other vaccine, so we try to get flu shots as soon as we can.

I’m in the Southern Hemisphere so by the time my baby is 6m flu season will be almost over here, I’ll just wait until the next season to get it so she’ll be around 15 months.
