Inducement experience !!

Lanae

If you’ve been induced before and wasn’t dilated none when you went in for inducement do you mind sharing your experience, I know everyone body different but it’ll give me some clues on how I should take action to an situation I have going on !

Only for the ones who had to push ! I’m just trying to see did you dilate after they induced you or was you forced to an csection because your body still wouldn’t dilate .

I started to dilate after the pitocin but everyone is different and pitocin contractions are 100% more painful than going into labor naturally.

i had an awesome induction. they got me to dilate by using a foley bulb, it’s basically a balloon they put in your uterus and fill with liquid. it makes your body think the baby is pushing on your cervix and is ready to come out. that got me to about 3cm. then they started me on pitocin to get my contractions to become more frequent/strengthen. i liked it because i could control how heavy the contractions were. i got and epidural at about 7cm and then i slept until basically my baby’s head was on his way out. all together my induction was less than 24hrs but i hear some women it can take longer

First two times I dilated well with pitocin, my third I thought would be the easiest but I stalled at 3cm, they bumped my pitocin and I dilated from 3-10 and he was out within the hour. Holy pain, but it got the job done. None of mine ended in a c-section. My body just doesn’t feel the need to go into labor on it’s own.

Had a really positive experience, with a vaginal birth. Started with Cervadil overnight after checking in at 9pm, then started Pitocin in the morning, got the epidural, water broke on it’s own, pushed for an hour and had my son at 4:28pm.

I had 3 successful (no c section) inductions. My first was a long and difficult labor but he came out eventually! Second and third were an absolute breeze.

I went in for induction without dialation. They started cervadil, after 12 hours of that i was a 1. Then they started pitocin. I progressed to a 3 about 24 hours in amd my labor completely stalled. After 36 hours of consistent contractions and increasing pitocin and using a cervical catheter, a failed epidural, and a plethora of nausea meds, an artificial rupture of my membranes, and lastly my baby’s heart rate jumping and dropping, we opted for a c section.

When I first went in, I wasn’t dilated so I got cervidil inserted to try & get my cervix softened. It worked, it got me to I believe 1-2cm & I forget what % effaced it got me. I overnighted at the hospital got morphine for my contractions so I could sleep. They woke me up at 6am to shower then I went to my labor room where I got an IV for pitocin & got my epidural. I was all hooked up by 7:30/8am. Water broke on its own after only being hooked up to pitocin for 10 minutes. I slept the entire time off & on lol. I was fully dilated by 1:40ishpm & my baby was born at 2:53pm 😋
