Glow keeps bringing me back to this group.

Glow keeps bringing me back to this group.

I tried to delete it multiple times in the last couple months (keep reading to find out why) but there must be something in my profile still linking me to this March group...

Here is my story...

I went into labor with my March baby on March 14th at one day shy of 41 weeks after such an easy healthy pregnancy. This labor went much faster than my first and by the time I got to the hospital I was already 10cm dilated. They got me all situated and hooked up to the monitors just in time to push. However none of the monitors could pick up my baby's heart. There was a mad rush to get my baby out with lots of pushing and pulling (and screaming on my part).

They put my daughter on top of me and she was limp so they immediately brought her across the room. I watched for 20 minutes as they performed CPR, pausing only to give her epinephrine shots. She took her first breath about 10 minutes in, which to me was a sign that she was in the clear, but I think the nurses knew better.

My daughter Kendall was airlifted to a children's hospital before I could even see her face. They tried everything imaginable to save her, but the lack of oxygen to her brain caused a large amount of damage to her brain and every organ was damaged. Kendall lived for about a day and a half before her body started failing and she died in my arms.

They don't know why this happened or what exactly went wrong. Apparently in the US 1 out of every 160 pregnancies end in stillbirth. It is funny how fast your entire world can instantly shatter without warning.

I deleted this group to avoid the pain, but glow keeps re-adding it. It now brings me a little joy to read your posts and imagine that Kendall would be doing the things that your babies are doing.

Please never take your baby for granted because the unexpected and the unlikely DOES happen.

My sweet Kendall. Forever 1 day old.
