How long after getting better from having covid 19 do you get your taste an smell back ?

I had covid an I'm on day 11 I feel a little bit better but I haven't got my taste or smell back an I've been told it could take weeks to months to get it back ?

I had it in January, my smell is still pretty much nonexistent and I can only taste sweet, bitter, and spicy. It sucks 😫
My BIL (who gave it to me) still can’t smell anything and everything tastes like pistachio for him lol
My hubby and daughter got both senses back right away 🤷‍♀️

For me it was 14 days. My BF was like 5 days

I had it in May and I still can’t smell or taste. I can only taste sweet, salty, spicy, and bitter…no flavors. 😒 
Also, someone said to take Vitamins C & D and Zinc everyday and it will help. Hasn’t helped me at all. I have a feeling I will never regain them. Smh

I lost taste and smell Oct 31 and it’s only part way back. I throw things out bc I don’t know if they’re still okay to eat or not, I can’t smell something burning, but I can smell some fragrances and mail polish remover! Go figure. I can taste some things, but then there lots of things that have no taste at all… like peach or red velvet. It’s frustrating!

I know someone who had it in April 2020, and was told her sense of smell is permanently gone. Her sense of taste is distorted.
