If you had your child’s lip and tongue ties revised, did it significantly help with nursing?

Yessss it made a huge difference!  It also helped him eat solids better (he was 16 months), drink out of an open cup properly, and his speech became clearer.  It was totally worth it

I told my husband I would rather give birth again than continue to feed our son at 2mo when he asked why I was crying. We got his lip tie revised by the end of that week and I continued to breastfeed happily for 10 more months.
With my daughter we got it revised at 2 weeks and she weaned about a month ago at just over 13m.
It definitely made a huge difference for us

Yes absolutely!!! I had constantly cracked nipples and mastitis 3 or 4 times in a year and when I realized that my child was tongue and lip tied we got them released and I haven't had any of that since. It was so worth it

Is there anyone here whose child had a tongue tie and didn't get the procedure done? How is it as they get older? How does it affect them?
Our son has one, he latches fine, eats well, now that he is 3+ months old.
We opted out of getting it clipped, mostly out of fear I think and deeming it not a neccessity.

I got my daughter's revised at 4 months after going back and forth about it. The first couple weeks of nursing after birth were hard but I saw the lactation consultant and that helped a ton so I delayed my decision until 4 months. I didn't think I would notice much improvement because we were already doing way better than the very beginning, but it was noticeable for sure. Before the revision she just had trouble staying latched for very long And even though it wasn't super painful it wasn't as comfortable as it was after.

I did not get to breastfed because I had some complications right after birth so he was bottle fed. When I did attempt to breastfeed he would gum my nipple. The hospital discovered his tongue tie but didn't clip it then. His pediatrician clipped it when he was a week old. I attempted to breastfeed him once it was clipped but he didn't like milk. I did notice he latched alot better though.
