Help?! Breastfeeding advice on supply & latching?!

My babygirl is now 3 weeks old on Tuesday. I have been breastfeeding since delivery…but took a break for a few days and at night to rest, I was getting severely drained and exhausted, breastfeeding didn’t help on top of it.

But I still want to provide milk for my babygirl, and get back into breastfeeding. I did have to use nipple shields for a week due to being engourged, but now she won’t seem to latch to my nipple. When I try she seems to get very angry after a couple goes, and I just end up resorting back to the shield.

I had a feeling she wasn’t getting enough milk from my breasts, so I exclusively pumped last night and only got 3oz total from 3-4 sessions of 15 minutes each. (She eats 2.5oz per feeding) I will be starting to eat oatmeal daily, and continuing to pump every 3-4 hours to try and get my supply back up, because in the beginning I was producing 3oz per breast every 3-4 hours.

Any advice is appreciated! Thank you in advance!
