What's best for marching in?

Hi,I'm in a marching band and I'm wondering what's better for me to use while marching. Pads or tampons?

Hey hun, former marching student here :) 
Honestly use what you're more comfortable with! I personally used pads because they would hold a lot more blood without worrying about bleed through. Tampons can get over soaked and bleed out and ruin your rehearsal wear (happened to me) or even your uniform. Especially if you'll be in competitions, you don't always have time for the bathroom so I would personally use pads.
