Home birth.. pros and cons ?!

I’ve always disliked hospitals, the way they make me feel and the bad memories just have never been a happy place in my mind. 
Sooo I’m thinking of a home birth, has anyone had one before? Pros and cons ??

I ended up developing severe preeclampsia with my first as I was being induced. If I hadn’t been in the hospital, I’m not sure it would have been caught and I could have died. After that experience, I personally will never consider a home birth. Many people do it with no issues! But if anything does go south, I want to be where I have many medical professionals and equipment available to me! I trust my doctor and feel safe in the hospital. No matter which way you choose, make sure you have a good relationship with your provider and fully trust them. It makes all of the difference! Good luck ♥️♥️♥️♥️

I guess the con would be that you have to be low risk. Most things that make a pregnancy high risk will disqualify you from a home birth - rightfully so. 
Choose your midwife or midwife team very carefully. You want someone with the training and knowledge and experience and confidence to monitor you effectively and safely. It makes my husband more comfortable with the process to have a certified nurse midwife, rather than a certified practical midwife, so we specifically look for that. It can be tricky however to find a CNM working their own practice outside a hospital. The closer you are to a big city, the more choices you have to pick from. 
Ive had three babies and three home births, and planning my fourth.  Ive used two midwife teams because we moved cross country before my third. Love my current team. And I love birthing at home, for me it is nothing but pros. 
It home birth is something you are interested in, I would recommend looking up some midwives who serve your area and setting up some interviews with them. See how they work, how their process is, and find out if it is something that would work for you.
