If you are nursing, continue to do it even if it is painful.  Pumping will only increase the engorgement but you can do a quick pump if needed to relieve a bit of pressure.   Massage your breasts in the shower in warm water.  My baby has a hard time latching when I’m engorged.  When I am engorged, I use a hakkaa pump to catch some of the letdown before I nurse.  I do this throughout the night as well on the side I’m not feeding on.  I have an oversupply so this helps to not overwhelm my baby with so much milk!   Hope you’re more comfortable soon!

Heat an massage was the only thing that helped me. I was starting to get clogged and the pain was running up my chest and to my shoulder. I went to Target and got a kit that has instant heat packs and a massager along with a few masks. It helped a lot because the instant hot packs stayed hot longer.
