Diaper cookout?!

Question

Would it be weird to have a cookout to celebrate baby #2? I would put something like “no gifts please, but diapers welcome!”
We have a 2.5 yr old and I’m trying to think of something that she would enjoy! A bounce house maybe?
We have never had a get together at our house and I would love to do that before baby #2
Thoughts? Don’t want to be seen as selfish. But think baby girl should be celebrated!

I know a fee ppl that did diaper parties. With my daughter now being four she was so excited about this pregnancy so we made sure to do fun stuff with her along the way like we surprised her with the gender and let her design the nursery. Its important for them to get that stuff and be a part of it all.

I don't see a problem with it at all! She should be celebrated! My 1st had a baby shower, my second was the same gender and no one seemed to care to throw him a baby shower and I felt bad he didn't get one 😔 
Now I'm pregnant with my 3rd, a girl this time. And still no one offered or talked about a shower or celebration and it makes me feel bad no one gave them a special celebration, even if it was just a small bbq get together with no gifts like you said! So I don't think there's anything wrong with doing this 😊

Yes! It’s called a diaper party! In my circle of friends mom gets the baby shower and dad gets the diaper party!

I just wouldn’t add the part about the diapers.  But yeah I think it sounds fun!   My friends were drilling me to have a “sprinkle,” for my second.  I just had my first last year.  I think they’ve finally let up.  But it was tough ha!   People will bring you wipes and diapers anyway💗💗 Congrats!
