What would you do/say?! Venting

I decided to treat myself and purchase the elvie pump this week, which I have been loving. I hired a nanny who helps watch my toddler son and helps with housework while I am busy with the newborn. It was only the 3rd time I use this pump, and I left it on the kitchen counter to run and tend to my fussy baby. The nanny took the whole pump (electric part included) and soaked it in some water, completely destroying it. I realise that this might be stupid to some, and in the bigger picture it's a materialistic item and not that deep, but I'm really upset. It was brand new and really expensive for me! And because its water damage, it will not be covered by warranty.

I know it was a mistake and she said she didn't realise, but I don't know... I feel like it was pretty obvious that this thing with buttons shouldn't be in water.. I've also asked her to wash the "washable" parts before, and I have never given her this "non-washable" electric part. It's frustrating because that's $250+ down the drain 🤦🏻‍♀️ Every time I think about it I get upset. I didn't say much to her, as this happened in the middle of a busy day, and I wanted to cool off before saying something I regret, but I just want to know what you would do if someone ruined something brand new and expensive by mistake?

Also, it's soaking in some rice at the moment. Any tips to help revive it will be greatly appreciated 🙏
