birth control shot ( depo)

the past week I've been sad mad and very irritated starting arguments with my bf for no reason just going off, every single day and it was never like this b4 I haven't gotten my peirod and I'm 3 days late. this is my 2nd round of depo and the first round I didnt get my peirod for almost 2 months and it lasted 10 days. could my peirod bc delayed because I just got the shot? and could the shot he effecting me some way ?
