So we are expecting our 3rd daughter and had been struggling to decide on a name for her. We finally found one that we loved, Cori, and announced it to our parents that’s what we had decided on. We specifically told them that we loved Cori because we adored the nickname CoCo and planned to call her that majority of the time. Well today my husband tells me that his mom got a new dog and guess what she named her……CoCo. My husband is very protective over his mom so I didn’t express my true feelings, but I did tell him that Cori/CoCo is now off the table for this baby. I’m extremely annoyed that she did this. She didn’t forget, because we talk about the baby by name all the time. I’m personally not comfortable having my baby have the same “name” as a family pet….so I definitely won’t be using the name. We have 2 others that we like a lot as well so that’s good, but Cori was just my favorite. Curious to know what you all would do in this situation?
