3 month old watching educational videos?

Is this OK? I can't find anything straight forward about weather this is ok or not... 
I usually like to put the baby in the swing and allow him to watch learning videos while I clean the place up a bit...
Is it bad? Is it OK? Is it good to do? Fill me in!

We have had the TV on every single day since they have been born. Been a SAHM for 4 years. My kids (almost 4 and almost 2) have met every milestone as they should, and are “advanced” for their age. Their DR is very impressed by them, and always has been. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Babies shouldn’t watch TV or videos until about 18 months, because it can impact brain development. It’s very easy to look it up on google, there are many resources that explain it

I personally wouldn’t. Not like their eyes can really focus on it at that age.

TV isn't recommended until after age 2 (the allergist loves to remind me every time we see him). However, I think for most people that's really hard to stick with. I didn't let my daughter watch TV that young but I did have the TV on. Usually if I need to clean up or whatever I'd put her in her swing with a soft toy or on her play mat doing tummy time

My first born watched baby Einstein videos at 3 months old...hes almost 3 and super smart....definitely did not hurt his brain development...my second has just watched what ever his brother was watching...you can't make one child not watch TV while other do

Yes. It's fine. You do what's best for your family. You do what you need to do to get thru the days. You give your child the medium that they respond to best. Some are wide eyed and curious when you read, others when you do puppet shows, others for sing alongs on TV. Do what works for you.
As an addendum...I just want to draw your attention to all the guidance we've been given as a whole circa prior 2020. We were told that ANY screen time over a few minutes could harm our kids, turn their brains to mush and cause them to develop poorly. We were given instruction to limit the screen to none before 2, and then no more than 15 min till they are 6 and then no more than 30 minutes till they are 10. Even "zoom calls" with grandparents were advised AGAINST. (Seriously) It's so dangerous for development....right. 
Then the same powers that be felt completley confident in putting our kids in front of computer screens for hours a day to do "online learning" for a year plus. Play dates were prohibited...but "zoom play dates" with kids as young as 6 months were heartily encouraged. All of a sudden...now screens are the saviors. No one talked about how the screen would "rot the brain" anymore. Not even a single mention about how the in person model is superior but online a necessary evil. They just told us it was fine. Not just fine....TOTALLY FINE...like don't even worry about the "screen" anymore, who said anything about the screens being dangerous? Not us...it's cool.

I mean it's not really going to teach them anything, but it's not going to rot their brain like people claim 🙄 honestly, the biggest impact on your child's development is going to be having a loving non-stressed out mother and a clean environment. If putting your child in front of the TV helps you achieve that then go for it.

Do what you’d like. My kids ‘watched’ since very small 🤷🏻‍♀️ No problem to me. They usually didn’t even pay attention anyways. Tv is on Alllllll day for us. Music isn’t enough

Ehh…I’m sure baby will be fine either way but I wouldn’t. Maybe just some soft music?
