Have I mc'd because I'm overweight?

Question

Ive had a mmc and a mc in the last year both before 8 weeks; I'm overweight by about 30lbs, do you think this has a part to play in why I keep mc-ing?

No. I was overweight when I miscarried too, and I too lost my baby at 8 weeks. 
​I spent days, weeks just thinking why it happened? And came to a conclusion that weight only has a slight risk, I know that m/c before 12 weeks are due to chromosome abnormalities.
​Point is, don't blame yourself hun. I've been there, it's not worth the pain. I've talked to my doctor and she said - I'm healthy and I have no reason to blame myself for my previous M/C. 
​I'm now expecting my rainbow baby and I just heard the heart beat which was perfect! :)

Not at all! I've miscarried 3 times, each at different weights. I also know several overweight women who have had the healthiest of pregnancies. I'm so sorry for your loss. Feeling like you did something wrong is a natural part of the grieving process, but please remember to be gentle with yourself & know you did everything right. ?Hugs

No don't think that. You should talk to your doctor And have them check your insulin levels tho.

I have heard that being overweight can make ttc slightly more difficult but I have never heard of it causing mc. Most of the time a mc just means the pregnancy wasn't viable, not because you have done anything wrong, but because there was something wrong with the sperm. As hard as it is, don't beat yourself up.  My dr said there wasn't anything I could do to start a mc and there was nothing she could do to stop it if it did happen. I keep telling myself it will all make sense when I finally do meet my baby ?

I highly doubt that, 30 pounds isn't that much, and I think usually weight is only an issue if you're having trouble conceiving, or if you're eating unhealthy while pregnant (risk of gestational diabetes). Like others have said, the early miscarriages are usually due to factors beyond our control, like chromosomal anomalies. Try not to beat yourself up, hun, and good luck next time!
