At what point should I be talking to my doctor?
Hey guys! I recently got off birth control so we can start TTC.
I had my IUD removed 6 1/2 weeks ago. I had one period a few days after it was removed. Since then, I have had 0 period. My cycles, prior to birth control, were about 30 days apart, but I’m currently 10 days late if we are expecting that cycle.
I have also been having really bad hormonal symptoms. I’ve thrown up almost every day since having my IUD removed, basically always nauseous. I’ve been emotional AF. My Breasts are incredibly swollen and tender. I’ve been fatigued and have had headaches a ton. For context, I had taken one sick day this entire year prior to my IUD removal, but in the last 6 weeks, I’ve had to use 3 sick days 🙃 I just feel like crap 90% of the time at this point.
I have taken many pregnancy tests, several different brands, and they are all negative, so I continue to feel sick like this without any real explanation beyond my body adjusting from coming off birth control. I was expecting like a month long adjustment process, not 6 weeks.
Did anyone else deal with this long of an adjustment after coming off birth control? At what point is this concerning/should I discuss these symptoms and lack of a period with my doctor?
