I think it’s important to remember that most guidelines suggest aiming for 6 months of age or whenever baby is able to sit unassisted (ensures they have core strength enough to not only swallow but effectively cough up if needed).
Additionally, until the age of ~12 months, most of their nutrition should still be coming from breastmilk/formula and foods are just to help with introducing things to their developing gut and for the experience of eating. Don’t expect to switch them to getting all their nutrition/calories from food for a while (even if you start offering early). Like everything else, earing foods takes time for them to learn and for their bodies to optimally learn to absorb.

She’ll be 5 months on Monday and we plan on starting in a few weeks, around 5 1/2 months or more. The advice in my country is to start after 17 weeks and before 26 weeks but I’d rather go with the WHO advice.

we started solids around 6 months, but she didn’t care for them until she was about a year old tbh. 
so she would try foods but never had meals until about a year.

My baby is 5 month in few days,  since I have introduced solid to him he has almost given up drinking milk, only drinks small amount, I only give him small amount of cerelac in the evening, is there any way I can get him to increase the intake ??
