How to find someone in foster care?

I believe my neices have recently ended up in foster care. Both her parents have been in jail & I have not been able to locate them with other family members. Does anyone know how I go about finding them? I’ve never dealt with any of this so if anyone has any advice or can lead me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it.

You would need to contact their caseworker. In fact, caseworkers usually try to find family members to place children with.

Based on confidentiality, you might not be able to. You can call local agencies, but they might not be able to disclose anything to you. If you come forward as family though, they might try to place them with you or incorporate them into whatever type of therapy they’re hopefully getting.

Contact cps.  Typically,  next of kin is supposed to be notified that way they can stay with family. But yes, call cps and give them your info.

Contact their child services worker. You gotta call the dcf or dcfs or whatever its called where you are, and ask for the case worker of the kids
