Still want my ex

So me and ex just broke up last night. I didn't want to and neither did he but he felt like with school starting and we don't go to the same school btw, that our love was going to fade he said he does miss me and didn't want to and that he still wants to be friends but he wants a relationship were we r together like all the time and I do volleyball and so my schedule is really packed. How do I handle this situation for 1 and for do should I give him a second chance if he wants to get back together? Also do we stay friends or do I cute ties with him completely, do I let him come back to me if he does?
