Do you use your diaper backpack as a purse?

I got a diaper bag backpack for my baby shower that I wanted but I was curious if you ladies still carried your stuff in a separate bag for when you don’t have the baby with you, or if you kept your wallet and other items in the diaper bag and just used it all the time. This is the diaper bag I got

My husband also got a diaper backpack of his own so when I go back to work, if he needs to go somewhere with baby, he has his own bag to go places.

Why carry two bags when you could only carry one?

No as annoying as it is to carry 2 bags if I had my wallet etc in the diaper bag and forgot to take it out and my husband grabbed the bag to go out with the kids I would have been left without it! I’m also a diabetic and carry insulin in my purse as well as a juice box for glucose issues. If I was caught without those items and needed them it would be dangerous. Occasionally if we were all going out I would transfer my purse items to the diaper bag to reduce the amount of stuff I was hauling but usually I carried 2.

I have a big pouch with all my stuff. I think it’s an old make up bag. But I keep my wallet, chapstick, lotion, phone, keys etc in there. When I’m going out solo, I throw it in my purse which has all my work stuff in. When I’m going out with baby, I throw it in the diaper bad. So much easier than caring everything individually or carrying 2 bags.

Most times I’d throw my bag and purse in the car and depending on the situation I’d just swap bags. 
For instance if I’m going visiting or like the zoo. I’d just throw my wallet and phone in the diaper bag. If I was going out to eat I’d throw a diaper a bottle and wipes in my purse. Regardless I could walk out to the car if I really needed something.

So I wasn’t really a purse carrier before anyways I just have a wallet clipped on my keys 😂 I plan on using my diaper bag to carry all the stuff I would normally put in a purse. But we have two separate diaper bags one is mine and one is my husbands that way I don’t have to repack all the baby’s stuff

We each have our own backpack. I've never carried a purse so I stick my wallet and keys in the backpack for convenience. Hubby never takes my bag so it's not a problem

First baby i had a purse type bag and i hated it because ir was always heavy so not comfortable on one arm. This time i got a backpack and plan on having everything in it

My son is almost 3 years old and I still have to use a backpack. As he has gotten older, I have ended up carrying even more stuff. I use the backpack all of the time BUT, my son is always with me. So I have never had the opportunity to not need the backpack.
