Did you baby have or develop a heart murmur?

My baby is 9 months old and they just discovered a heart murmur. Wasn’t there in any ultrasounds or at her first few appointments.

My daughter was born with one, harmless. It went away by 11 months.

My daughter’s pediatrician heard the murmur when she was 1 month old. She got all the tests and it turns out it is an “innocent murmur.”  My daughter is now almost three and still has the murmur, but is perfectly fine and healthy.

My nephew had one. His resolved. He’s a very healthy 6 year old now.

Our daughter’s was found at her 2 mo appt. We took her to a pediatric cardiologist for additional testing at the referral of our pediatrician. Everything turned out beautiful. We were told she has an innocent murmur and it won’t impact her quality of life. Apparently, a lot of people have them. Sometimes they resolve themselves and sometimes they don’t.

Yes my son was born with one. So far he is fine but has to be checked every 6 months. He’s 3 months now so I’m still learning about it honestly. He was born premature at 35 weeks

My oldest when he was 6 months his pediatrician mentioned hearing one. Then when he went for his 9 month check up she didn't mention it. At his 3 year check up she brought it up again and decided to send him to a cardiologist. They did an ultrasound and said his was an innocent heart murmur and would correct itself over time. He is almost 7 now and not had any issues.

My son ended up getting an EKG at 21m for his because it was louder than his pediatrician was comfortable with by that age. It turned out to be totally fine
