I’m training my 2.3 years old son to potty train and I’m not sure if I’m doing it right or what. So PLEASE help me figure it out as it’s my first time.

I followed the bottomless method for the first day, and i would put him on the potty every 20-45 mins (this is how long it usually takes him to pee). The first day he mentioned one time that he needs to go pee.

Second day, i did bottomless first half of the day and second half i put an undies on him and i would take him ever 1-2 hrs (he started holding it longer)

So my question is am i doing it right?? Or he should tell me himself he needs to go?? Instead of me making him sit on the potty every couple of hours??

When do they start telling you that they want to go to the potty completely on their own? Please any details on the potty training is much much appreciated!

For some reason no one talks about it in deep details! Everybody just say oh took me 3 days took me a week took me a month! But the question is HOW did you do it what are the detailed steps

Please help a first time mamma! :)
