I am a special education paraprofessional at an elementary school and today one of the kids I work with had quite the melt down. I had to escort him out into the hall and when doing this he began to hit and kick me. He is about 9 or 10, a third grader. I tried to hold it together but when another teacher came to help and asked if I needed a break I said yes and the second I stepped out of eye sight I began to sob. I have dealt with situations like this and worse a hundred times, but never with a growing baby in my belly. I have had 3 miscarriages before this and it triggered something in me that brought up all those old feelings of lose. I would be devastated if something happened to my baby, especially at work and if it could have been avoided. I have been pretty upset all day and just needed to vent to women who would understand my concern and how I feel.
