My MIL does and she literally makes minimum wage and works all of the time.

I am a certified medical coder and I have worked in billing as well. It’s a solid career to get into, but landing that first job can come with some difficulty (though sometimes that is true of all professions anyway). I can probably answer any questions you might have.
