What do I expect at the first appointment, I’ll be 8-9 week. Can you have a gut feeling about having twins?

Explanation for my thoughts below.

I’m 7-8 weeks pregnant. I went and saw my primary physician for my already scheduled appointment and they confirmed with a urine test. According to this and my cycle tracking I’m 7+5, but my primary said I’m 8+3. I go in for my first OB appointment next Thursday because they would only schedule me for after 8 weeks. I’m supposed to have an ultrasound and go over information with a liaison then the doctor and all that they said the appointment could be 2-3 hours long. What should I expect?

I have a gut feeling I’m having twins and my husband thinks I’m crazy. - My mom miscarried my twin before she found out she was having twins and the confirmed I was okay, but she found out when she delivered me and a second placenta came out that she had lost my twin. I found out a few months ago because she wanted me to be aware and said she didn’t tell me before because it wasn’t the same as losing a baby to them because they didn’t know and only expected 1 and it’s not something the family knows.
