Baby refusing bottle after throwing up formula
So my son is 9 months. We have breastfed our whole journey. He has only had formula once when he was a newborn until my milk came in. He has always taken a bottle fine. In fact he would always get sooo excited when I’d get one ready. Well I decided I was going to start adding some formula. I had no idea I was supposed to mix it with breast milk. That was my lack of knowledge. So I made a bottle and tried to give him some and he took like one sip and was disgusted. Anyways, I laid him down after he fell asleep and an hour later he was projectile vomiting. Long story short, his tummy didn’t agree with the formula and ever since he refuses a bottle!!!! Poor guy I know how us adults are, when something makes us sick it takes forever to get to like it again, if ever we even do..
I have tried 7 different bottles and sippy cups, only do breast milk in it, I’ve tried letting him play with it and stick it in his mouth (when he does he just chews on it) if he sucks at all he looks disgusted and pushes it away. We have let him play with the cap of the bottle to get him used to it. We have put some purée on the nipple that he likes. We have tried to take him in different environments to give him a bottle. I will feed him and try to give it to him right after and still he refuses.
He just hates it now and it makes me sad because he used to love it🥺. So now I can’t be away for too long because he won’t drink anything besides from my breast. IS THERE ANYONE OUT THERE THAT CAN RELATE AND GIVE ME SOME REASSURANCE THIS IS SO SCARY TO ME 😭
