Do bd ever regret hurting bm and leaving?

Just wondering if they ever come to their senses and regret the family they lost… it’s his first child. Anyone have stories?

Well for the most part, the family shouldn't be "lost". If the guy is a decent human, he would still be taking care of and spending time with his child. And if he's not decent enough to be doing even that, he likely doesn't care about the family at all.

My husband regrets leaving and hurting me. His sorry ass has tried to come back but knows I won’t  take him back for one second knowing half the shit he’s done while we’ve been apart. If he took that time to be alone, focus on his promotion at work, work on himself… sure. Instead he got drunk, found a cheap girlfriend and reverted back to his early 20s. Bye boy.

It happens, but I think its important to dig deeper if getting back together is the right move. Example a friend of mine went back to his wife because it didnt work out with his new girlfriend. And how is getting back together going to resolve the issue that caused the split to begin with? I think real and tangible resolutions need to be made vs just kiss and make up

Both my baby dads have come back and wanted to get back together, make it work or said they still loved me missed our family bla bla bla. But by then it was too late. It’s was my choice in leaving and for good reasons (drug abuse, alcoholism, domestic abuse). Neither of them pay child support either. I kinda don’t feel bad for them though. They’ve both worked on their own lives and have gotten better for the most part, my oldest sons dad it took him 10 years though! I wouldn’t hold your breath, just work on your own life and taking care of your kids.

Depends. Situations vary. I’m sure there’s regret how everything transpired. But you can’t force yourself to love someone if it’s not there. But you would hope he’d still be there for his child

I think you need to be more specific. There's nothing wrong with realising the woman you're with isn't the right one, and as crappy as it is to lose that family unit, it's better than forcing someone to stick with you just because you have a child.
If they've decided they don't want any involvement whatsoever, well that also depends on the circumstances. We don't know what led to the pregnancy, we don't know the conversation and what was said, we don't know if he ever wanted to be a father of not.
A person isn't inherently a bad person for leaving their family - depending on that person it might even be a "good" thing. No one wants a forced father, an abusive father, a resentful father, etc.

🤷🏽‍♀️ honestly, I don’t know. He hasn’t seen them in 3 years. We just moved overseas and now he wants me to send them back next year. My kids love my husband, they call him Poppa and they don’t want to move back to the US. My husband has been an incredible father to them. I can’t help but wonder if any of that bothers him. I know he misses the children but also makes zero effort to be with them.
